Feeling pretty good

No change in the scale this morning. But, I can see a difference. I see it in my face, my gut and my energy level. My wife is 'thrilled'. Yes, that was sarcasm.
Of course she's happy for me but I'm a guy. That means I can lose 3 times as much as a woman can in the same amount of time. It's unfair. I know.
But it's not my fault. Really.

Again, she's happy for me and wanted me to get this rolling anyway. At least the mental health aspect. The physical health was a logical continuation once the 'dark side of melon' was addressed.

The biggest surprise I've had so far is that the juicing thing is a lot easier than I expected. I've found a couple of things that help already.

1. By the time you feel hungry or weak, you're behind the 8 ball. Eat. Do it now. Eat healthy, of course, but eat. Get some a juice or carrots or salad or something quickly. When you are hungry you make choices that are less thought out. Like TACO BELL!

2. By combining a juice cleanse with a reboot, I don't really get all that hungry. And...when I do, I refer to rule 1. I basically juice during the day and have at least one meal a day. If I have two, that's usually out of necessity like if we are out of the house and we need to eat something. And, it that does happen, I try for a salad or something super healthy. So far, so good.
Since I am eating a true meal at night, I'm getting fiber which helps to keep you feeling full. A lot of folks that do the juice only diet are hungry at times because they don't have that.

3. Beet greens are the devil.

4. Have snacky stuff available at all times. Carrots are my favorite and I try to keep a salad mix around to whip up a quick meal when needed.

5. Nothing good ever came from beet greens.

That's all for the moment.
